Joan and I feel incredibly fortunate to travel as often as we do. Every journey we take is both a privilege and a purpose — allowing us to personally experience the destinations featured in our Expressly 4U itineraries so we can ensure our guests enjoy the kind of authentic, meaningful experiences they’ve come to expect from our custom-designed holidays.
Our mission has always been simple: travel beyond the masses. We believe travel should be more than simply checking destinations off a list. It should be about immersion — feeling the heartbeat of a place, connecting with its people, savoring its food, and discovering the moments that stay with you long after you return home.
That’s why Joan and I are constantly searching for the best destinations, locations, and properties for our travelers.
For us, the “best” property doesn’t always mean the most expensive or ultra-luxurious. In many destinations, the most memorable stays are found in well-located, comfortable hotels that place you right in the center of the experience. We want you out exploring charming villages, enjoying local cafés, strolling waterfront promenades, and discovering hidden gems — not spending all your time inside a resort.
The people you meet, the meals you share, and the local experiences you embrace are what create unforgettable memories.
Some travelers prefer to keep moving nonstop, and guided tours can be a wonderful fit for that style of travel.
