Posted on 01/12/2017 | About Mexico

Recently our Destination Wedding Specialist Mackenzie spent a few days at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya and Hard Rock Hotel Cancun. These are her insights on what you can expect on a Hard Rock Resort vacation.

The Hard Rock Riviera Maya and Hard Rock Cancun are two amazing all-inclusive properties with some similarities but even more differences.

Hard Rock Riviera Maya
The Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya is a family friendly resort, with the added bonus of an Adults only section called Heaven. This is a really cool feature that Hard Rock Riviera Maya resort offers. The two resorts in one concept is perfect for destination weddings, offering Adults only and family friendly accommodations at on resort. Wedding with children attending are held on the Hacienda side, no kids allows for wedding option on the Heaven side in addition to Hacienda.
Guests staying on the Hacienda side (family), can use the amenities on the Heaven (adult) side if they are 18+. And guests staying on the Heaven side can use all amenities on the Hacienda side as well. The Hacienda section features 2 kids clubs, the Little Big Club for children under 12, and the Cavern for Teens 12-18. This section of the resort also offers a rock climbing wall, a large ocean front pool, a water slide, swim up bar, and of course the beach.
The Heaven section of the resort caters to the late night rockers as well as peace-seekers. This section features the Heaven Club with live DJ, plenty of dancing space, and a large pool in the middle of the club. There is also the Body Rock Fitness Center, and the Rock Spa. The Rock Spa has 75 treatment rooms offering a wide variety of massage, facial, and salon packages. Heaven offers 4 swimming pools, swim up bars, and beautiful white sand beach. The Heaven side of the resort also offers 4 adults only restaurant options. From steakhouse to Latin American, all are reservation free, and equally delicious!

Hard Rock Cancun
Next I moved onto the Hard Rock Cancun, which was a family friendly resort. This resort seemed to be in party mode 24/7! The infinity pool was lively and upbeat, with DJ and dance offs, I wouldn’t go here to relax. The beach however was calmer, with guests sunbathing, playing beach volleyball, and swimming in the ocean. If a quiet place is what you seek, head to the beach. This resort also offers both child and teen clubs. The Little Big Club offers children 12 and under a kiddie pool, a movie theater, along with outdoor activities. The Cavern, which is the teen’s club, offers a pool table, TV screens, and a night club for the teens. The Hard Rock Cancun has 5 restaurants on property, with none requiering reservations. Ipanema, The Brazilian steak house, turns into the resorts club after hours, with DJ, dancing, and cocktails, you would never know you were dancing in one of the most popular restaurants on the property.
A bonus at the Hard Rock Cancun are the views offered, almost all rooms have a water view, offering lagoon view with amazing sunset views, and ocean view and oceanfront rooms offer spectacular views of the turquoise blue waters and white sand beaches.

Hard Rock Resorts is currently offering a very generous resort credit based on your length of stay, ranging from $500 for 3 night stay to $1800 for a 7 night stay.
World Class Golf Is another great feature available at both resorts for the golfer in your family. Resort Credits can be used toward golf. In addition an All Inclusive Golf option Can be selected at booking that allows unlimited all inclusive golf option.
Whether your looking for family fun, adults only, spa vacation or exciting night life, Hard Rock has a resort that fits your needs.
